Today was good.

So it been increasingly difficult for me to sleep through the night. It is just a fact of pregnancy, but I did really well until for some strange reason my clock started a 10 minute count down and I happened to open by eyes when it was at about 6:30 (the countdown, not the time) and thought I slept through the night only to realize it was 4:50am. Still pretty good though.

I hosted church playgroup today...a pizza party, So L and I got up and with lots of time to spare. We cleaned the whole house, well mainly just picked up and vacuumed, and made pizza dough, and did the laundry, took out the trash, etc. L was very motivated to help (she vacuumed the whole house with her vacuum, which she just got from one of my piano students) because "FRIENDS ARE COMING OVER". She was so cute. I looked at the cemented chunks of something on the kitchen floor and decided I would wait until the pizza fiasco to mop the floor, so minus the kitchen the floor the house looked quite good.

I was a little worried about this playgroup, because of my last hosting playgroup experience. I have to confess I even switched the date because the school kids were out of school last Friday, and well lets face it, anyone who has been to my house knows it not made for 15 kids, more like 4. All in all we had total 4 2-years-old and 1 home schooled 10 year old. It worked.

The sourdough pizza crust was a success. It was actually one of my more favorite crust that I have been experimenting with. Everyone got to make their own little pizza which catered nicely to kids with egg/milk allergies. Then all the kids shuffled out to the swing set (no one got sauce on my couches!!!) , despite the wet ground and had a blast. It was really nice to be able to send the kids outside.

And the best part of this day, although I was slightly embarrassed because of the fore mentioned chunks on the kitchen floor.... A friend stayed and insisted she would mop my floor, because that is what she hated doing most when she was pregnant. It was pretty dirty considering 5 kids made pizzas and I hadn't cleaned it beforehand, but she swept and then got down on her hands and knees and scrubbed that floor with a rag. And basically that made my day. My whole day has been better since that. Now I am vowing to be a better friend.
