Our crazy week

Just some photos from this past crazy week.

Last Sunday

We start shaving young in this household.
Tuesday morning...I am in labor apparently...felt silly getting a wheelchair, but I needed one before reaching the 3rd floor L&D because Gary wanted to speed walk, which wasn't happening for me. Plus the elevators are about a mile from the nurses station, which wasn't happening for me either.

New Baby.

Going home from the hospital.

Sleep deprived Daddy.

Fishing

After our third attempt fishing, they finally caught fish!!! The secret....minnows from petsmart. Ben thought he had already caught fish.....Great activity when momma is down.

Ben turns two.

My little boy turned two yesterday. Two birthdays in one week.

I have been so worried about his adjustment to this new baby. He has been the most surprising. He is so gentle and loving, I think he will be the peacemaker in our family. He wants to help change diapers and hold the baby. He really is wonderful.

We had a birthday party at the pool yesterday, the highlight being the pirate boat that Grandpa gave to him. He loved the cake and sang Happy Birthday yesterday to himself at least a dozen time.

I love this boy so much. I feel like he came to us at the very hardest time in my life, and has been such a blessing to our little family.

Happy Birthday Ben!!!!

Our newest addition

I had a little unexpected excitement Tuesday morning, my actual due date... Our little Boy joined the Walker clan.

I didn't realize how much I missed that newborn smell, it just makes me want to snuggle with him all day.

He is a keeper. 8 lb 13 oz, not quite as big as Ben. Still working on the name...

Springbreak Day#3 and Eye Update

She hasn't complained about it once, but I do a feel a little self conscious taking 3 children, one with a serious black eye, and mom nine-months pregnant out in public.....especially when Miss L insisted on wearing her "jellies" that have a hole in the toe. We paid a visit to payless today, so at least the shoe issue is under control....she could only get new jellies if she left the old ones at the store in the trash.

First day of spring break

We had fun picking strawberries. I didn't bend over too well, but two years ago I went I to labor the night I picked strawberries, and I am hoping for the same fate tonight.

Miss L had a little collision with lil' G's head in the pool after the strawberry picking. First shiner.

Gatordash

Miss L ran her first race today with 50 other kindergarteners. It was raining a bit, kids got soaked, but I am sure it felt good for the runners. The race was too close to call. She either won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. She was way ahead of the pack and the only girl. I didn't know she had this hidden talent. Go Miss L.

Our newest soccer player

Today was Miss L's first game. She did great. She is one of the fastest runners on the team. Her team is the red Coyotes.

Her coach is great, but he is a military man who is gone 1 Saturday a month, which happens to be today, so guess who took over and ran the field with the kids during the game... Yours truly. I am sure all the other parents including myself were thinking ... What is that pregnant lady doing running on the field with those kids? ... Our coach was obviously desperate for a fill in and I figure if I was going to be put into labor by this craziness, I am far enough along ...

Rodeo Houston

We skipped school yesterday and went to the rodeo. Lots of walking, I couldn't have done it without Grandpa there. Mr. B loved the petting zoo, Lil' g loved the chickens roosts that looked just like Grandpa's house, and Miss L took us on a mile walk for the perfect cotton candy. That is a lot to ask a man with bad feet and a 9-month prego lady.
