Adjusting to the Baby

It has been interesting to see how Miss L is adjusting to her new little brother. She is quite a bit more moody and needs a lot of reassurance to know she is still loved.

The hospital experience was quite a nightmare, mostly from the fact that my roommate had a Spanish party going on next door at about 9pm (Miss L's bedtime) and mommy couldn't get out of bed and had tubes in her arm.

Coming home from the hospital was also a nightmare, because the baby got sit on my lap as I was wheeled out of the hospital and Miss L didn't.

But since we've been home, things are going better. It is easier to divide time between big sister and baby brother, and fortunately baby brother sleeps a whole lot. She was very curious about nursing, to be expected, but she is warming up to him little.

I'm sure it will take more time and more adjusting...

But last night was major break through. After giving her baby dolls a ride on her stuffed rabbit, she wanted little brother to have a ride too.
