My two and four-year olds this week
Feeling old with my baby turning two, and feeling like a significant chapter of my life getting near the end. The phase of having lots of little kids and demanding physical needs is turning. My two year brings me diapers, wipes, and a bag when he needs a change and a bottle when he wants a drink. Self sufficient, not yet, but well on his way.
My four year old needs friends, and I have been getting lazy making plans with them. Luckily, My friends are okay with my laziness, and I was able to throw together a little party for our play group friends, impromptu bug cupcakes, and some playtime.

Big sister made an elaborate rocky road, Reeses, brownie ice cream cake for his family celebration. I have purchased a little 6" cheesecake pan, which is the perfect size for these little birthday celebrations, and has got a ton of use. We are not big eaters around these parts. Definitely not from my side of the family.

Our busy February
Gary and I went skiing in Keystone with most of my siblings the beginning of February. The snow was great, the company was even better.
Then we went to Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas with some old roommates of Gary's, who also happen to be boys from Indiana that I grew up with, Dave and Mandy, and Tim and Ashley. Between our 3 families there were 11 kids. They were in heaven. I was worn out by the end of the weekend.
We also started soccer which consumes 3 nights a week plus Saturdays. I am coaching Lily's team which is fun.
We also had our school fundraiser and Gator dash, which Lily got her best time for her mile 7:48, and came in 2nd for the 2nd grade girls. Gary jr. Also had great fun competing in his 1st race.
This weekend I ran the Woodlands half marathon, with my cheer squad present. It was great to have something to train for and motivate my exercise. I was just under 2 hours, an small improvement from last year.
And after all that we should have a relatively quiet spring break just hanging around here.
