Yummy Salad

I bought myself a treat today....bleu cheese. I can't remember the last time I bought this. Definately, pre-lil' G. I had this recipe at the grocery store, and pears just happened to be insanely cheap, and bleu cheese happened to be on sale (but not insanely cheap). Walnuts, would be great too, I but I didn't have those. It still tasted divine.

Pear Bistro Salad
4 c. salad greens
1 pear
1 Tbs. green onions
1/4 c. walnuts
1/8 c. bleu cheese
1 1/2 Tbs. balsamic Vinegar
2 1/2 Tbs. Olive Oil

Remember when I told you about this. Well here is new one, I have been splurging and buying bleu cheese the last two weeks and eating this salad every day....cuz it is so good (especially if you have home grown cherry tomatoes). Thanks to the new church cookbook...

Bleu Salad
Bleu Cheese
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Sugar-coated almonds or pecans
Celery
Chopped Red Onion

Dressing:
1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
3/4 cup olive oil
3 tbs. dijon mustard
3 tbs. honey
1 clove garlic minced
1/4 tsp. salt and pepper
