Guess whose the newest piano student....
Miss L is bored as beans at home. She is SOOO ready for kindergarten, I was thinking something had to be done. Things just happened to fall into place the last few weeks and she started piano lessons. She is doing great. We had a very good practice at home too. I can't believe she is old enough to do this. I think it is just the thing her and I both needed.
Bathtime
I know all three won't be able to climb in the tub together much longer. Here's to making time stand still.
Here is our little Alfalfa.

I have a Big Head.
This kid has thrown me for a few loops. It all started when he was born and came out with hair and +2 pounds compared to his siblings.
Today was his 9-month-well child visit. He is great. Except a roaring ear infection that I completely didn't catch. Bad mom #1. Thought it was teething (he did get another tooth TODAY).
And his head. We have been watching his head grow for months. The concern would be for inter cranial pressure causing a larger head OR the head is familial. The doctor looked at me and said "I don't think anything is wrong with your baby, it must be your husband." To which I am thinking, I don't think my husband had a big head. Which of course got me panicy.
I turned it over to Gary, who of course used his profession to determine if we indeed have big heads or if my son had a problem to be watched. According to the Weaver curve, (if you like statistics) WE BOTH HAVE BIG HEADS. I am almost a standard deviation above adult woman 0.76, and Gary is 1.53 standard deviations above adult men. Baby B falls right in between. 1.37 for 9-month old. There you have it. A whole family of big heads.

During Piano Lessons...
Most days I am dead by 2pm, and have to pick myself back up to teach piano lessons at 3:30. Miss L and lil' G usually enjoy the free time watching a movie, or if it is just Miss L having Barbie adventures. Their energy never wanes. However, this week everyone has had naps everday so far. I think it must be the weather. Cold outside and no place better to be than in a tent in momma's room with your brother snuggled beside you.

Our New Years

My little sister got married in Denver on New Year's Eve. We all went. It was a very rejuvenating weekend. Everyone relaxed. Ate big breakfasts at Embassy suites, and enjoyed the festivities. We were able to see some good friends in Denver, and enjoy time with family. We were the only one with kids, so we had lots of help.
It was very cold, a big storm hit the night we got it, but the hot tub was very warm. It was a taste of heaven. Getting back was a bit of a disaster thanks to the Iphone alarm bug, but we all got back in one piece by the end of the night.
