Yesterday's Project
While the US is suffering with a tomato shortage due to the Salmonella outbreak, we here at the W* household are swimming in tomatoes, literally, my 7 big tomatoes plants are ready for harvest, and we can only eat so many sun-ripened delicious tomatoes.
We have given away as many as my visiting teachers, home teachers, VT companions will take....sometimes I think they think we are bit nuts, but I grew up with a big garden, so fresh produce to me is equal to baked goods.
So yesterday with the plethora of tomatoes, jalapeños that reseeded themselves from last year's garden, and a lady who was giving away free onions in my neighborhood (I know, random), I made salsa. The only ingredient I had to buy was green peppers, because my poor little green pepper plant may not, (sob, sob) make it.
I have canned salsa once before, it Utah, but never by myself, it w as an "experience". But I am really proud of my 17 little jars. Thanks for the recipe, Amy.

Miss L impressed me as the "big sister" yesterday. She is no longer my baby, and is growing up...I know she is only 2, but she pushes little brother in the swing, "tries" to be gentle, and wants him around in general....of course she tells him to take a nap if she wants me but we are making progress.
She is looking like a little girl too. Would you look at this....
As for my boy, he is as cuddly as he seems.

New Stuff
So its been a while. I don't know where May went, I think I was half asleep through most of it.
To Recap-My M-I-L left, and then for two weeks I went around like a zombie trying to at least feed and clothe my little ones, definitely not quite adjusted to two. After nearing my wit's end, everyone my dad, mom, mil, fil, and little sister arrived for little brother's baby blessing. Since then, life has been bliss, until this Thursday when my mom and little sister leave.
Now that the baby is out, I have been feeling the need to change this about myself, like lose the baby weight, get new clothes that fit, and feel pretty and not fat anymore. ..and yes I have turned into the postpartum mom who chops her hair. What do you think?
It is nice to have a mom and sister here who make you feel beautiful (by doing you makeup, hair, sending you on a date with your hubby, picking out a few new outfits, and new earrings...my new earrings are in the picture and I absolutely love them. I actually got a swim suit I like too, which is a major, major accomplishment. (although I won't be posting pictures of myself in a swimsuit)
